The resolute one with an unwavering spirit
A very determined student, Yuan Jia has performed excellently in the 2015 ‘N’ Level exams. She has always made the best out of what she has, overcome all odds and pushed herself to scale greater heights. A dedicated member of NPCC, Yuan Jia has also
1. Congratulations on your stellar results, Yuan Jia! How did you feel when you received your results?
I feel happy and surprised when I received my results. I was especially thrilled when I saw that I have achieved a B for Mathematics and an A for Science!
2. Tell us about your choice of tertiary institution and the CCA you wish to pursue.
I am now pursuing a course in Food and Beverage Operation. I wish to join the Badminton Club in my school.
3. Do you have any future plans?
I hope to do well enough so that I can further my education in a Polytechnic of my choice.
4. Is there any particular person or group that you would like to thank?
I would like to thank my mum. She had to work very hard to put me through secondary school education. Without her support, I would not be where I am now. I would also like to thank my Form Teachers Ms Laura Nah and Mdm Noorizal for their patience and guidance during my stay at PHS. Las but not least, I would like to thank all the teachers who have taught me.
5. You were a member of NPCC. How did you manage to balance your CCA with the academic demands of the ‘N’ Levels?
It is all about good time management. On days when I have CCA, I always made it a point to finish my homework on the same day, no matter how tired I was. This will ensure that my homework didn’t pile up.
6. Lastly, do you have any advice for your PHS juniors?
Study hard and you will see the result of your hard work.
