National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC)

It is the spirit of the PHS NPCC unit to participate in activities not only for the glory but for the greater value of exposing the cadets to all the rich experiences provided by the activities. In addition to the various courses and programmes that were organised by NPCC HQ, this year, cadets have also participated in activities planned by other school units, enrichment courses conducted by Singapore Maritime Association, Singapore Civil Defence Force and the Kayaking Federation. Our cadets also had the opportunity to learn from forensic experts about various criminal cases as part of the CSI programme.

It is through different collaborations with other uniformed groups too, that our cadets were able to share and learn from one another's best practices. Platforms such as the student-led SGSecure programme and combined parades have further enriched the cadets in developing useful life skills.

PHS NPCC has also managed to obtain the Gold Award in the 2016 Unit Overall Proficiency Award for the fifth consecutive year and two of our cadets, SI Kevin Lim and SI Ng Xiangqi were also proud recipients of the pinnacle SPF-NPCC award as a testament to their achievements and leadership qualities. May our role models inspire the rest to always be prepared to serve the community and the country.
