DSA Performing Arts

The Guzheng Ensemble and Symphonic Band are well-established Performing Arts Groups in Presbyterian High School. Members demonstrate outstanding artistic accomplishments and have excelled at the Singapore Youth Festival Presentation.

The training programmes are carefully planned for optimal implementation to achieve the highest level of musicianship. The CCAs develop student leaders who live out the school values such as Integrity, Respect, Responsibility Resilience and Empathy. The school provides members with multiple opportunities to pursue their passion and contribute to the school and community through their creativity and artistic talents.

Students should have participated in the CCA applied for in their primary school and have a strong aesthetics background and interest in music.

Students should preferably possess certificates for practical skills from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Trinity College or other recognised examining boards in a symphonic band instrument preferably woodwind, brass, percussion and string bass or guzheng.

Students should possess a positive attitude and a sense of commitment, as described by their primary school instructor and teachers.
